Nuclear Ban Treaty Ratification

Task Force for Nuclear Ban Treaty Ratification

The discussion on Nuclear Ban Treaty started at the UN in 2015, and it was adopted on July 7, 2017.
Current challenge is how to ratify it in more than 50 countries and put it into effect expeditiously.
Ratifiers remain in 4 countries as of 2017. As we are facing the nuclear threat, it is urgently required to enact the international law to the absolute ban of nuclear weapons. Thus, RfP Japan works especially on promoting ratification of the treaty by national governments including Japan to effectuate expeditiously the Nuclear Ban Treaty.
