As the 50th country has ratified the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons on October 24, 2020, at the United Nations in New York, the Treaty is set to enter into force on January 22, 2021.
Welcoming the ratification of the Treaty, the Most Rev. N. Makoto Uematsu, the Chair of Religions for Peace（RfP）Japan, issued the following statement on October 25, 2020, on behalf of RfP Japan.
