Task Force Team to Stop Nuclear Dependence

RfP Japan, bearing in mind the earnest appeal of the Hibakusha to "never create another Hibakusha" and the reflection of religious leaders on past wars and their responsibility to build peace, is working with the RfP International Network in solidarity with people around the world who wish for a "world without nuclear weapons" and is exerting its efforts toward the total abolition of nuclear weapons through prayer and persistent dialogue.


Activities

・Advocacy activities or awareness activities by organizing synposiums, signature campaigns and meetings in bombed cities or religious facilities for nuclear abolition.
・Observe carefully discussions in international conferences such as high-level meetings, the UN general assembly or NPT Review Conference and its Preparatory Meetings, Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW), and make recommendations by religious leaders as appropreate.
・Take actions in solidarity with religious leaders in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
・Organize an event related to nuclear abolition on September 26, "the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons".
